One Small Tweek In Your Mind; One Giant Result In Your Productivity:
It’s not a big newsflash that most people wake up on the wrong side of the bed morning after morning and sticking to the same routine of poor habits that just keep them on the treadmill of frustration and stress.
I at one point in my life I will admit I had this same problem. I would either dread getting out of bed or tell myself “while I was still lying in bed”, all the things I would accomplish for the day, only to get in my same routine of procrastination on all the things I was going to get done. Sound familiar?
You know the routine. If you don’t congratulations you are in the 2% category that is already waking up productive.
This is a change of habit I am talking about here. I know you may be thinking habits are hard to change but they really are not. It takes two seconds to make a decision. The issue is; what choice will you make?
Your mind has the power to make a really good choice over one that is going to stop you from getting ahead in life.
It all starts as soon as you wake up from your sleep.
Although most will sleep at night, there are those that sleep at different hours. It doesn’t really matter when you wake up as long as you do it with the mind set to start off your waking hours in a productive mode and mind set.
This 1 step is really getting to the root of most problems. There are so many cool things you can start doing now to get your fire going again but for now we will start with my personal favorite.
FIRE YOUR PROCRASTINATOR:
This is one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself and for me personally, just this one little step increased my productivity in a matter of minutes after I did it.
If you really get honest with yourself, you will come to the fact that we all as humans have a few different personalities we carry around with us. Through an exercise I conducted on myself (this is one that I learned from an incredible mentor: Eben Pagen), I found that the biggest thing that stopped me from being more productive was that procrastinator inside of me. After following a simple instruction to close my eyes and have a little talk with myself to find out which personality was keeping me from getting things done, it was quite clear that I had to stop procrastinating.
Now think about this;
If you had someone working for you, weather you are in management, a corporate leader, a housewife or an entrepreneur; and the person working for you was not getting the tasks you assigned to them and just kept procrastinating and falling behind without reasonable cause, would you continue to let that person stay on? Would you let someone else possibly let your health, finances, housework, successes spin out of control and eventually crumble? That is exactly what happens when we procrastinate. Take the lead, be the leader inside and
“FIRE THAT PERSON!”
Have A Productive Day!
